A Journey To The Sacred Lands Of The Maya, May 2021 With John Perkins And Mayan Shamans
I am so excited! The trip I guide to the Mayan shamans and sacred sites of Guatemala is ON: May 7-14, 2021. It will be an incredible experience, the perfect way to recover from the exhaustion we all experience around COVID, elections, the economy, winter, etc.
As a participant, you will experience a magical opportunity to explore the next phase of life – your own and that of our planet.
I’ve been studying and working with Mayan shamans since the 1970s and taking small groups of people to share their amazing wisdom for many years. In early 2020, once again I’ll be joined for the entire trip by Mayan shamans, Tata (shaman/teacher/spiritual leader) Julio and Tata Domingo, as well as my long-term trip co-facilitator Daniel Koupermann.
Guatemala has an excellent protocol for protecting us from the virus and we will take all necessary precautions, per the below email from Daniel.
Come. Join us for this life-and-world-changing adventure.Click here more information and a day-by-day itinerary
There will be a zoom call to update you and answer any questions you have with Daniel, the Mayan shamans in Guatemala, and me on Friday, November 13 (a very good day for such a call according to the Mayan calendar) at 6PM Central Time, 4PM PT, 7PM ET:

Email from Daniel Koupermann:
Hello John,
About Guatemala from the 7th to the 14th of May:
Guatemala opened internal and international flights as of the 3rd of October, as well as setting up protocols for beaches, national parks, archeological sites, museums, restaurants, and all economic activities with a lot of regulations, guides for safe practices and certifications for the companies doing tourism services. They have regulations and protocols for all our suppliers in the hotels, restaurants, tourism transportation, archeological sites, etc. I have read all of them, and they are very well done.
To be allowed entry to Guatemala the travelers have to do the following:1.- Have a negative PCR test no more than 72 hours prior to arrival in Guatemala.2. Fill out online the form “Health Pass Guatemala” www.servicios.igm.gob.gt/pasedesalud/en, and submit it online no more than 24 hours before their arrival. This procedure will generate a QR code that immigration will ask each passenger for going IN and OUT of Guatemala. So travelers should have it in their cell phones. Each passenger should do it on their own.
3.- Mandatory to wear a mask
4.- Valid Passport
I spoke with Tata Julio a couple of days ago to find how things are going in the current moment. He assured me that things have progressed well, and we will have our own safety standards to be sure the protocols are happening and that everyone is safe.
Personally, I feel very confident and excited about the journey. I think it will be the perfect opportunity to take people to a new consciousness about being present to what is happening now in the world. Surrendering to the reality of the virus and establishing a personal conversation with ourselves in the context of Covid19 will be an integral part of the adventure. It is a great time to ask and answer: “What have we learned – individually and collectively – from the pandemic?”
Saludos,
Daniel
